~AUTHORS POV~

Seven years.

Seven years of silence, distance, and memories neither of them had managed to bury.

They had learned to live in separate worlds, convincing themselves that the love they once shared belonged to a different lifetime.

But some loves do not disappear with distance.

They linger quietly in the songs they stopped listening to, in places they avoided, in dreams that refused to let go.

She had carried his memory like an old scar beneath her skin.

He had carried hers like a secret he never dared to confess.

Seven years had taught them how to breathe without each other.

But it had never taught their hearts how to stop yearning.

And when fate finally placed them in the same room again, neither of them was prepared for the truth:

Some goodbyes are only pauses between two chapters of the same love story.

Seven years.

That was how long it had been since I last heard his voice.

Seven years since I had looked into the eyes of the person who once felt more like home than home itself.

Seven years since we said goodbye.

Or, at least, since I pretended it was a goodbye.

Time had changed everything.

The streets were different. The faces were unfamiliar. Even the girl staring back at me in the mirror sometimes felt like a stranger.

But there was one thing time had failed to erase.

Him.

I had spent seven years convincing myself that I no longer remembered the exact shade of his eyes, the sound of his laugh, or the way my name sounded when he said it.

I had lied to myself so well that I almost believed it.

Until tonight.

Because after seven years, fate had decided to put him in the same room as me again.

And when I looked up and our eyes met across the crowded room, I realized something terrifying.

He hadn't forgotten me either.

His expression changed for only a second.

But it was enough.

Enough to bring back every memory I had buried.

Every promise.

Every tear.

Every reason we had been forced apart.

And suddenly, seven years didn't feel like seven years at all.

It felt like yesterday.

●FEW DAYS AGO●

"Don't worry jas ,I will be there by tomorrow " I say on the call.

"Hmm see you tomorrow " I cut the call and stand up from the couch.

"You know I don't want you to go back to that city " I smile at dad.

"I understand your concern dad but this project is very important for me i just can't let it go because of my past " I place my hand on his shoulder.

"I have got this dad, I just need you to trust me please" he nods half heartedly.

"Come here" I pull him in a hug.

"What about me ?" I smile and turn towards my little boy.

"Oh my how did I forget you" I dramatically touch my chest.

"I know right meya, you are getting quite forgetful these days" I laugh at his world's picking him up in my arms.

"I can forget anything in the entire universe but never you elian. Your my entire universe" he smiles at my words "I love you the most "

He kisses my cheek "I love you too meya"

He then hides his face in my neck.

My reason of being alive,

My sunshine,

My son,

My reason,

Elian

Seven years.

People say time heals everything.

They lied.

Seven years had passed since I last saw her, and somehow, I still remembered everything.

The way she used to say my name when she was angry. The little crease between her brows when she was trying not to cry. The way she looked at me as if I was the only person in the world worth seeing.

I had spent seven years trying to forget all of it.

I failed.

Tonight, I walked into the room expecting nothing.

Just another evening. Another gathering. Another night I would eventually forget.

Then I saw her.

Across the room.

For a moment, everything stopped.

Seven years disappeared in a single heartbeat.

She looked different.

Older. Stronger. Almost like a stranger.

But her eyes...

I would have recognized them anywhere.

And then she looked at me.

There was no smile.

No warmth.

Only seven years of unanswered questions standing between us.

My heart did something I had spent years teaching it not to do.

It remembered her.

And suddenly, I knew-

Seven years hadn't been enough to end our story.

They had only given us time to become strangers.

●ONE DAY AGO ●

"one more drink" I place the empty glass on the table.

"Sir your already really drunk" the bartender barks.

"Did I ask for your opinion? Just refill it" he sighs but does as told.

I take a sip of the drink as Flashbacks hit again.

"Your breaktaking " I groan in her neck.

"Ahh adrian" she fisted my hair in her hand while her legs were wrapped about my waist.

"Your everything I didn't know I needed treaure" I thrust making her eyes roll back in pleasure.

"Right there"

I kiss her chest still thrusting. "What will I do without you now treasure? You shouldn't have allowed me to touch you"

"I....w..will always be h..here" she says between heavy breaths.

"You wanna cum huh" she nods desperately.

"Yes please "

"You may my love" she arched her back as she came. I cum and my body falls on hers.

"I love you treasure " I kiss her neck.

"I love you more "

Even after 7 fucking years, why can't I forget her.

Why does every memory end on her?

Why does my body still crave even after what she has done.

"I don't want to remember that women " I mutter "I will not remember her "

I take another sip

"I hate her so much "

Sip

"She is nothing to me"

Yet he knew, even if she came after 7 years back to him, he would still accept her.
